Selina's House for the VR-Game "Selina: Mind at Large". My role was to create the home of the main character "Selina", which serves as the entrance to one of the puzzle levels
The player must repair a gear in front of the house, enabling the water Wheel to open the door. During the concepting phase, the assets went through multiple iterations. My primary focus was exploring a fusion of historical architectural influences from around the world with the playful aesthetics of children's toys. I used a combination of photobashing and painting over 3D elements in Photoshop to refine these iterations. The house was modeled in Blender using a mix of custom textures and assets, alongside elements from the Enchanted kitbash pack. A major challenge was achieving a high level of detail while optimizing performance for standalone VR hardware. To meet performance goals, I significantly reduced the polycount of kitbash assets and relied on a small set of tiling and trim textures. A special thanks to Jorge Reißner for his invaluable feedback and for challenging me throughout this demanding process. Feedback and Art Direction by Jorge Reißner and Max Bredlau. Elements for the Puzzle of the VR-Game "Selina: Mind at Large". The design is based on two similar assets created by Jorge Reißner. My goal was to explore a unique interpretation of these assets by incorporating different materials and elements. I then developed a style to create assets suited for various purposes. A key focus was ensuring that players could easily understand the functionality of the different puzzle elements. The assets were modeled in Blender and textured using Substance Painter. The mosaic textures were created in Substance Designer. The water swirl, snowflake icon and the base for the whale head were created by Jorge Reißner. Oversized Toy Dragon
The goal was to create an oversized toy dragon based on the concept art of Jana Lowinski, representing the game's antagonist, Aniles and beeing colored in her distinct color palette.
Selina's selfmade Toy Rocket
The assets serves as a key viausal and narative moment where the player uses water to start a chamical reaction witch launches the Toy Rocket that the main protagonist "Selina" made herself in school.
Pirate themed Claw Machine
This asset is part of a series of minigames designed for the pirate-themed area of a theme park. I aimed to create a design that blends stereotypical pirate-themed elements with modern plastic components, mimicking the look and feel of a theme park attraction.
